Grape Varieties

The Costantino family has 600 acres of table grapes, producing about 600,000 boxes of fruit every season. Grapes are harvested for the first five months of the year – from January to mid-May.

Grapeland currently produces 10 seedless varieties of table grapes and one seeded variety. It is one of the only growers in Australia to produce Midnight Beauty, Sable Seedless, Autumn Crisp and Adora Seedless, and is the biggest grower of Scarlotta Seedless in the country.

Flame Seedless

Flame Seedless

A round, bright red seedless grape with a crisp, firm texture and excellent sweet flavour. They are harvested early in the season, from early January to early February.

Sable Seedless

A round, deep black seedless grape with a crunchy texture and rich sweet taste. Harvested from early January to early February, Sable Seedless are medium in size, but large in flavour.

Menindee Seedless

A large, oval seedless grape with light green skin and a crisp, fresh-tasting flesh. Harvested from mid-January to mid-February, Menindee Seedless are considered one of the best eating grapes.

Midnight Beauty

A large, black seedless grape with a crunchy texture and refreshingly sweet flavour. They are harvested from early to late February.

Thompson Seedless

A medium to large elongated grape with a subtle sweet flavour and firm and juicy texture. Also called sultana grapes, Thompson Seedless are the most widely eaten and one of the oldest varieties of seedless grapes. They are harvested from mid-February to late April.

Crimson Seedless

A medium-sized, elongated seedless grape with pinkish-red skin and a crisp, refreshing, sweet flavour. Harvested from early February to early May, Crimson Seedless are one of the best eating grapes.

Autumn Royal

A medium to large, crisp seedless grape, harvested from mid-March to mid-April. The skin of an Autumn Royal ranges from purple to black, while the flesh is a translucent yellow-green colour.

Scarlotta Seedless

A large, oval seedless grape with dark red skin and a crisp, juicy, sweet flavour. They are lateseason grapes, harvested from mid-March to late April.

Red Globe

A large, round seeded grape with pinkish-red skin, crispy texture and nice flavours. They are harvested from early March to late May.

Autumn Crisp

A very large, green seedless grape bursting with a mild sweet flavour and hints of Muscat. They are harvested from early to late April.

Adora Seedless

A very large, black seedless grape with a crunchy texture and sweet flavour. They are harvested from early to late April
